Ticketing

Updated on June 22, 2026

Event Espresso manages ticketing directly within the event editor. Each event can have one or more ticket types with their own pricing, quantity limits, and sale windows.

Setting Up Tickets

When creating or editing an event, scroll to the Available Tickets section. For each ticket:

  • Name — describe the ticket type (e.g. Member, Non-Member, Early Bird)
  • Description — optional detail shown to registrants
  • Price — set to $0.00 for free tickets
  • Quantity — maximum registrations for this ticket type; leave blank for unlimited
  • Goes On Sale / Sale Ends — control the registration window for this ticket type

Click Create Ticket to add more ticket types. Click the gear icon on any ticket to access advanced options, including minimum/maximum purchase quantities per order.

Free vs. Paid Events

Most ASSP chapter events are free for members. For free events, simply leave ticket pricing at $0.00 — attendees will complete registration without a payment step.

For paid events, a payment gateway must be configured in Event Espresso → Payment Methods before tickets can be sold. Contact your chapter’s website administrator if you need payment processing set up.

Managing Capacity

The Quantity field on each ticket controls how many registrations are accepted. Once the quantity is reached, the ticket will show as Sold Out on the event page. You can increase the quantity at any time by editing the ticket.

Viewing Registrations

To see who has registered for an event, go to Event Espresso → Events, hover over the event name, and click Registrations. From there you can view attendee details, export a CSV list, and manage individual registrations (approve, cancel, etc.).

Tip: To export a full attendee list as a spreadsheet, go to the event’s Registrations screen and click Registrations CSV Report at the bottom of the page.
