An email signature automatically appears at the bottom of every message you send. ASSP provides a standard signature format that includes your name, pronouns, title, address, phone numbers, and the ASSP logo.

Tip: If you do not use pronouns in your signature, simply delete the
<em> (she/her)</em>line.
Adding the Signature in RoundCube (Webmail)
- In RoundCube, click the Settings gear icon (top-right).
- Click Identities in the left settings panel.
- Click your email address to edit it.
- Check the HTML signature checkbox.
- Switch the editor to Source / HTML view (look for a
<>or “Source” toggle in the editor toolbar). - Paste the HTML template above into the source editor.
- Click Save.
Adding the Signature in Thunderbird
- Open Thunderbird and go to Account Settings (Tools menu or right-click your account).
- Under your account, click on the account name to view its settings.
- Check Attach the signature from a file instead — or if using a plain text option, switch to HTML.
- Alternatively, use the built-in signature box: check Use HTML and paste the HTML template directly.
- Click OK.
Adding the Signature in Outlook (Desktop)
- Go to File → Options → Mail → Signatures.
- Click New to create a new signature and give it a name.
- In the signature editor, click the HTML source button (if available in your version) and paste the template — or use the rich-text editor to type your information and insert the ASSP logo image manually.
- Set it as the default signature for new messages and/or replies.
- Click OK.
Note: Outlook’s built-in signature editor does not always render pasted HTML cleanly. If the formatting looks off, use the HTML source view or consider composing the signature using Outlook’s formatting tools instead.
You can find your Chapter’s logo in the Chapter Communities Marketing Kit on ASSP.org. It requires you to login first to be able to access it.
